Design – Function – Quality – Simplicity
Since 1980, I have actively been working as a cabinetmaker/ joiner and a furniture designer. During this period of time, I have striven to create timeless, simple pieces of furniture with durable value – if possible, to the extent that they will become the antiquities of tomorrow. I have tried to achieve this without being influenced too much by any temporary trend or other cosmetic features. My goal has been to unite excellent quality with excellent design and function.
My pieces of furniture have been chosen to represent the best of Swedish design in places such as “Sagerska Huset” and several Swedish embassies and consulates.
The first great cultural performance from my part was to win, as the only woman so far, the award “Träpriset” for my summer house “Villa Olby”. Arkitekt Askegren (The architect Askegren) and I shared the price. Since then there have been many other awards.
1993-1997 "Utmärkt Svensk Form” (Excellent Swedish Design), with an Honourable Mention in 1994.
In 1996 I was elected as the entrepreneur of the year in the Swedish province of Skaraborg for “bold and compromiseless entrepreneurship united/together with creativity and professional skills“.
